Our Work
Posted by Admin on December 08, 2009Breakfast for children in An Giang Province
In collaboration
with Sen Nguyen, a Franciscan sister, we provided breakfast for schoolchildren
in a rural province of Vietnam from 2005 to 2006. One hundred and eighty
five (185) children in An Giang Province received breakfast during the
school year from our Christmas for Breakfast funds.
Mai Tam House of Hope
Since 2007, in networking with Bridging Hope, a Colorado based non-profit
organization, our program evolved to provide breakfast for HIV/AIDS
children at Mai Tam. The Mai Tam House of Hope is a home and center
for HIV/AIDS positive widows, mothers, and children that provides shelter,
medicine, medical care, education, and referrals for its residents and
the many walk-ins it receives in need of support. The children living
at Mai Tam are both infected and affected by HIV/AIDS--some are HIV
positive or have AIDS and some are the children or orphans of persons
with HIV/AIDS. Contributions from the children of Christmas for Breakfast
and our supporters have ensured the provision of 110,000 meals for the
children of Mai Tam for 2010.
